Brivaracetam is used is used along with other medications to control partial onset seizures seizures that involve only one part of the brain in adults and children 4 years of age and older. Briviact is used to treat partial onset seizures in people with epilepsy. Although the exact mechanism through which brivaracetam exerts its effects is not fully known this agent targets and binds to synaptic vesicle protein 2a sv2a in the brain.
